The world’s first driving dogs!

The world’s first driving dogs!

Teaching people to drive is not an easy task; it takes time, and a great effort to be a good driver who is able to drive through streets. Every day we hear about a new school for driving lessons to help adult people to learn driving’s principles and to be capable of driving perfectly, and lots of people join these schools and take driving training to pass the driving test.

But what is really weird and incredible the most seeing driving dogs! Actually I couldn’t believe my eyes when I watched this stunning video!

Monty, Ginny, and Portenthe three competitors in a Zealand race track were all rescued by the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Auckland, New Zealand; they have the same target to show that they can drive! And the big day has just started; the cars were modified with special gear sticks and pedals the canines could use.

The three smart dogs took around 8 weeks training and progressed to driving a real car!
Porter, a ten-month-old beardy cross, became the first dog in the world to drive a car. He negotiated a New Zealand race track in the specially modified Mini, Monty 18 months old, and Ginny 8 years old were also allowed to drive a car, and they perfectly and incredibly succeeded in their smart and special task.

The world’s first driving dogs!

I wouldn’t believe any dog could learn to drive a car on its own but this team has proven through our understanding of animal psychology and theirspecialized training methods that intelligent puppies can adapt to the situation they’re in. Simply, if they have a goal, they will certainly reach it.
It really is remarkable and I am so proud of the achievements of this dedicated professional training team and the incredible SPCA driving dogs.
Am asking myself did these dogs learn how to park yet?!
